“I love how it is the EROAD culture to have each team member’s voices heard and embrace innovation.”

How long have you worked at EROAD?
6 months

What’s your career path been like at EROAD?
I am expanding my skills into Cloud Development, DevOps, and acting as the team’s Product Owner.

What do you love most about your job?
I love how it is the EROAD culture to have each team member’s voices heard and embrace innovation.

What are you well known for in your team?
Honestly, not sure! Perhaps I’m known as a table tennis and coffee enthusiast

How would you describe working at EROAD to a friend?
EROAD is truly a land of opportunities with many exciting and challenging projects going on.

AN ENGINEERING CHAPTER LEAD

“EROAD is fast-paced and full-on. There’s always a lot going on and you’re always able to try out different tools/tech if it will help you solve your particular problem. Additionally, there’s a nice contingent of people who are really good at table tennis so you can always expect to be destroyed if you take them on!”

How long have you worked at EROAD?
2 years 7 months full-time but I’ve been at EROAD for longer as an intern with my first internship in July 2017.

What’s your career path been like at EROAD?
I was an intern for about a year before becoming a full-time graduate software engineer. After that, I was the team’s scrum master for a year, before becoming the product owner for a year, and finally becoming most recently a Chapter Lead for the backend engineers.

What do you love most about your job?
Trying to solve complex problems and then bouncing ideas on how to solve them off of coworkers that are way smarter than you. In the past, we were tasked with building out rules which followed US hours of service regulation which are notoriously complicated and convoluted.

What are you well known for in your team?
Suggesting we play board games for team building sessions! I was recently given a budget to purchase almost $700 worth of board games for the company!

“I‘ve had some great opportunities at EROAD and this has helped me to grow and find my next step into something new”

How long have you worked at EROAD?
1 year and a half

What’s your career path been like at EROAD?
In a few months time I’ll be moving into a new role in Marketing. I‘ve had some great opportunities at EROAD and this has helped me to grow and find my next step into something new – it’s really exciting to have a new challenge ahead after 10 years in similar roles.

What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people who genuinely care about others and who are passionate about what they do.

What are you well known for in your team?
My team would probably say I’m creative, and I also have some funny facial expressions that aren’t very flattering!

How would you describe working at EROAD to a friend?
I feel such a strong sense of belonging at EROAD. I’ve never known so many people in a workplace from all teams and countries. We have some great banter – virtually and in person. It’s fast paced, there’s heaps to do but we really do have a good laugh along the way.

A SOFTWARE ENGINEER

“What really stuck out for me as an intern was how much trust EROAD has in its people, and it shows in the kinds of opportunities they offer to all levels.”

How long have you worked at EROAD?
A little over a year full-time but I also did a summer as an intern.

What’s your career path been like at EROAD?
I started at EROAD as an intern, loved it, and came back full-time as a grad. After a few months I became the scrum master for my team and am now working as a software engineer doing a mixture of frontend, backend, and data engineering.

What do you love most about your job?
Definitely how supportive EROAD is around learning and growth. I think what really stuck out for me as an intern was how much trust EROAD has in its people, and it shows in the kinds of opportunities they offer to all levels. I love a challenge, so coming out of uni and being able to take on the responsibility for things like releases and planning was exciting, and I don’t think I would have learnt as much or grown as fast without these opportunities.

How would you describe working at EROAD to a friend?
The right balance – it’s fast paced but stable, we have a lot of fun events but still get stuff done, work is flexible but still collaborative.
