Purpose of this Role

To promote and expand our Australian business across the range of our product verticals and solutions, through undertaking the field activities of gathering and documenting customer requirements, developing customer solutions and proposals (with the technical and engineering teams where appropriate), negotiating and closing opportunities. The sequencing and progressions of these tasks will be undertaken in collaboration with the wider ANZ Sales team.

  • Gathering, understanding and communicating customer requirements - business and technical.
  • Develop and execute sound selling strategies that ensure revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline that ensures sales targets are consistently met.
  • Presentations and proposals to customers (with support from product/engineering where appropriate).
  • Ensure the commercial and technical viability of solutions and pricing.
  • Customer relationship management.
  • Document customer engagements in SalesForce.
  • Commercial and contract negotiation.
  • Closing of opportunities - win or loss.
  • Provide continual feedback to product management/engineering on enhancement requests.
  • Other duties as reasonably required.

Technical Skills
  • Selling – Designs and implements sales strategies and works with senior management to implement sales plans. Works with the Business Development Coordinator to ensure the sales opportunity is progressing in line with the agreed sales process. Develops and maintains effective customer relationships at executive levels and qualifies new sales leads. Participates within the bid process within the organisation. Agrees and signs contracts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.

Experience
  • Proven successful track record of exceeding sales goals is essential.
  • Very strong previous experience driving sales in an IoT or SaaS business is highly desirable.
  • Proven technical aptitude and curiosity.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the designated region.
